HELP EXCELSTOR J880S

hi i just got my first excelstor hard drive for data recovery... from what i have read and what i can identify from the drive... it is a refurbished hitachi drive. now i have both hd doctor and hd compass... and on both of them this hd will not come to ready... can anyone help me with a walk through on what to do...

I guess you would need to start by determining the Hitachi model number etc.
