Which type of drive? Not all drives support loaders, those that do do not do so in the same ways.

WD is easy to do. In SD the extension on WD is .mod. Manually change this to .rmp. Then when you need a modules point to it and import it in the pc3k.

u mean to
.RPMwhat about the modules numbering issue relative between both SD & pc3k
for example module 11 in pc3k = module 52 whatever in SD
this is my question...
and thnx for the reply :

Do this one. You can get a listing of the modules in the UDMA. I know it is possible. Print it out and then in the SD tools in download area where you back up the FW for the HDD you see a listing of the modules in there. Compare them. They are the same. They do not use MOD 11 in ACE and change it to MOD 52 in SD. This one is not possible at all. Compre the two listing. I find only that SD has some other MODs in this one that ACE does not have and there is a few extra in ACE that SD does not list. But the ones that are key mods in this that are needed for your drive are the same. It is possible to do this one in WD drives. I know in Maxtor the Mods are different and this one is another story on this one. But for your purpose in WD they can be used to upload and repair defectives Mods to your drive.

For the researching stuff, rip off the modules with both tools from a known healthy drive, re-construct them, analyze them (checksum included), in the raw mode.
Sometimes, you may need to split and join the modules, as some modules ripped by both tools contains different number of sectors of SA. As Ann said above, both tools contains sometimes different information for the modules and this can only be examined manually. That's what I personally do if I need to.
If I remember, you had already created the exact topic in an another section of this forum too, where I supplied you a ready-made list of module conversion table as the reference. It falls under "thread duplicating" - not a great forum courtesy I must say.
