cannot copy data with data compass

hi guys,
i have a 320gb hitachi 2.5" drive. it shows up in hitachi doctor i can read all the modules except for the dump module and data area is visible in sector (hex) view. when i connect to data compass however, the partitions show but i'm unable to copy the data from the drive. any idea what could be wrong and what to do to enable me copy the data? thanks loads in advance

the problem with the data compass is the software is crap and needs to be fixed to many bugs

if the data compass see the drive i would do a image copy of the drive
then use r-studio to mount the image.

or better still just mount the drive with the data compass and use the inbuilt software of r-studio to give you a image of the drive.

from there work of the image file.
