SSD Hard drives

February 26th, 2013, 17:48

Is there any practical recovery tools out there for SSD Hard drive recovery with bad Intel controller chipset? I heard each controller is unique to its own drive and can not be replace. Is it really true?

PC-3000 ace laboratory can do it ASFAIK, and I think Soft Center tools..

Hi HaQue,
I checked these tools but the problem with them is that they cannot recover SSD with Intel controllers since it uses encryption for NAND!

Hi, Yes I re-read your question, I was focussing on only the first part, SSD Recovery... sorry. I think this one would be difficult, and more than likely you may have to do it by hand. I haven't seen any tool advertising what you need, though that doesn't mean there isn't one! Good luck mate, hope you find one.

Hey,
I don't know if this link helps you..

I Googled for "SSD Intel chip recover" and flicked through a couple..

"We've sent in a couple Intel 320 SSDs with the 8MB bug and had completely successful recoveries with Gillware."
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/292437-32-intel-series

http://www.datarecovery.net/articles/intel-ssd-BAD_CTX.html
may be helpful, or at least make you feel confident someone out there can do something.

Maybe post some more details like make, chip numbers, actual problem etc..

I wish I had the time to get stuck into a project like that, It would be fun.

Good Luck :)

i hate SSD Hard drives and sold my tools already

Soft Center tools good tool to use lots of learning when you get this tool
but the backup in the forum is good.

they are a pain in the butt to recover.

and SSDs with Intl chipset
its worse then having a midget kick you in the arse when your past out

Hi guys!
I'm researching now intel 320 series drives. And i'm in a few steps to recover data from them. I'm sure, at an early date it will be possible! :)
So, if you have one, please keep it at yourself! Data are not yet lost!

At the present time I can recover data from intel G2 generation (X25-M and others), this drives has the same controller as intel 320 has. And user data are encrypting too.
If somebody need to recover data from this drives, i can help. But i need this drive, not the dumps of nand chips.
