It is EXTREMELY difficult to make specific rule. For some models of Hitachi one rule stands while for some other models, some other stands.
Pretty much the same goes for every brand, with very few exceptions.
OTOH, we sometimes try things that are contradicting each and every matching rule and while it should not work, it does. And vice versa.

I absolutely 100% agree. It is difficult to write a guide that covers all aspects, but what I wrote, I think covers a decent chunk and works for majority of drives.
