My joke was lampooning the idea that someone who was resorting to a makeshift repair of a wonky table leg may be in financial difficulty. Since such a repair was supposedly being effected with a discarded $2K tool, I expected that the irony would have been self evident, in which case it would also have been evident that I was not really lampooning your economic circumstances. In retrospect I can see how my post could have been misconstrued, and for that I apologise unreservedly.
