HDD GURU FORUMS

Did some one have FW for this HDD:
Momentus 5400.6
model: ST9500325AS
s/n: 5VE03SZY
P/N: 9HH134-566
FW: 0001BSM1

I can read FW under 7200.11/12 on HD Doctor. BIOS and Windows recognize the drive but unable to access. Victoria report IDNF on all sectors.

Can you read any of the surface,maybe in the first thousand LBA?

On DC I check sector 63 and I so info about NTFS, but on HD Doctor nothing. And i can read most of the FW modules.

I bet LBA up to a certain number are accessible, then nothing after, right?

Sometimes they are readable up to several million before blocked, but I had one which would only read up to sector 11 before nothing.

FW won't help you.

Yes there is a solution for this problem in most cases.

I know it and have solved many of these.

But it's difficult, time consuming and not for sharing, sorry.

No problem pcimage, I wil continue with work on this drive.
