Really need your help and support here.
I own the complete HDD Doctor Suite and Data Compass Premium.
I got Hitachi Deskstar IC35L060AVV207-0 ATA/IDE 40GB failing drive.
I tried to connect it both to data compass and to the Hitachi HD doctor console but in both cases teh satatus is "no HDD".
In HD Doctor i can power it on or off and the connection to the power supply are good. I can hear that it is being turned on and off and spinning, but still the status is "no HDD" so i can do nothing to diagnose it.

Any help or pointers will be appreciated.
I read the manual but can't find the answer there.
Maybe its a corrupted NVRAM so i need the NVRAM file and firmware.

Hi
looks more like pcb or NVRAM problem as you should have the status ... did you tried in safe mode to select manually the family and read the NVRAM?
May be can be worthy to try with another pcb (compatible) and se if changes, if so , you can try the dynamic repair to correct checksum on nvram with the same of the ovarlays.
bye
