What is the price on the Data Compass Premium, did you check with Salvation Data? Check their policy... It´s strange...

Salvation Data charges a $750.00 license transfer fee for Data Compass. Also, the original warranty is lost to the new owner. The license transfer fee is only for software updates. I was going to purchase a used Data Compass also, but decided to buy a new one. I think they need to change the policy. I own 6 Salvation Data tools and feel they are a good value for the money compared to the competition, but their current license transfer fee policy makes the used tools a bad deal for the seller and the next owner. I suggest contacting a salesman at Salvation Data compare the pro's and con's between new and used. I also suggest complaining about the high transfer fee policy for used tools. The more people that complain about it, the better. Maybe if they get enough complaints they will change it.

I also don't think the $750 for a licence change & just updates only is good value for money. Especially when you can download updates from other sources for free.

If the order can be traced by Salvation Data to the original purchaser and he/she wants to contact SD and inform them they wish to sell them legitimately then the transfer fee of this amount should not be charged. SD is attempting to double dip their profits with this policy. SD wants to make the same profit twice on one sale. SD is penalizing their good existing customers ability to sell and potential new customers to buy all in the effort to stop piracy in my opinion. Bad policy it could be handled better.
