From my experience of using the dfl-wdii, I don't see any same points or connection hints between salvation data tool and dolphin tools. let me share some images and you can see:

I am actually using dfl-wdii most because it does have many more options to repair the wd drives. what I can say about it? hmm, it's for experienced users and if you're new to this field, it is not easy to use it well.
their support is good and fast in their two forums and email reply and until now, they do offer frequent upgrades to the wd tool.
one thing i am not satisfied with them is about their basic manual, not telling in good details how to use their tools like pc3k does. that's why I said this tool is very good for experienced users. they promised to release revised manual in near future.
