The TVS diodes commonly go short circuit due to an overvoltage when the power supply fails. |

If so, then use a pair of fine tipped tweezers, short the relevant test points, and then power up the drive. You can release the tweezers after you gain access. http://images.google.com/images?q=tweez ... o&tbm=isch I suggest that you cover the tweezers in heatshrink tubing to minimise the risk of damage to your PCB in the event that you drop them. |
