Hello, i have the SD seagate tool with software 6.0 beta, i read successfully SA firmware from a good working drive but when i try to backup the rom i receive error "rom reading failed". The rom on the chip is good, i have read it successfully with STcom, but somehow SD tool can't read it. 7200.10 GALAXY 3D ST3500830AS fw: 3.AAD s/n: 9QGxxxxx ROM: S-6D This is what i get when i read the ROM with SD: Attachment: This is thee good rom reading with STcom: Attachment: Is this a SD bug? |

The bad "ROM" looks like the HDDINFO.TXT file that is found in SD's resource dumps. |
