Out of curiosity i have one of six DKR5C-J600SS that is working after a simple reformat to 512b sectors.

I got your credentials from "napalm_atx" at "https://forums.servethehome.com"
I have purchased HUC101212CSS600 on ebay with came with 520 block size.
After long long research I manage to covert from 520 to 512 block size.
However the HDD still can't be used as apparently requires firmware upgrade.
Which bring me to another problem, thanks to "napalm_atx" I received the firmware version with command line how to upgrade.
But it turns out that the HDD is vendor-lock. By know if that would be just a single HDD is would of lost my hopes and would just throw the HDD away, problem is I purchased 19 of them, that is around 300euros.
After looking at your forums and video I managed to install the Niagara software, however I find too complicated to understand where and what to do in order to remove the vendor-lock. As "napalm_atx" advised me, would you be able to provide me some guidance how to remove that vendor-lock in order to update the firmware?
