1st: You wont find an adapter which does fit into the drives bay of the laptop
together with the 2,5" SATA hdd
2nd: There is a huge amount of adapters IDE (port) to SATA HDD on the market,
but usually for 40pin PATA (IDE) cable to SATA connector. So you would need
additionally an 3,5" to 2,5" adapter
or this one
http://www.ebay.de/itm/SATA-Female-to-4 ... 25629183a1 But allthough this adapter is small you wont get it into the laptop bay - and
would need an extra cable to run the 2,5" SATA hdd externally. These 44pin
cables respectively their connectors are lousy (i.e. bad conncection).
Solution: There are CD-Rom bays available to connect a 2nd ide hdd into a laptop.
Perhaps one can modify such a bay for SATA use .... I still have new ones
on stock - got them for a biz which never realised.... Who needs them
for postage + a million
?
Just the question whether is worth it to invest time and money into an old laptop
with ide port ....?
