It is highly unlikely that anyone can realistically quote you a price without physically assessing the damage to your drive. I recommend that you send your drive to the forum member pcimage (pcimage.co.uk). His pricing is reasonable and I'm sure that if it is recoverable, he can recover your files.

Worst of all i brought it to a guy to fix it, he opend it for a moment to check the noise and after that he told me this is too hard to fix :?

Is that a problem if its opened 1 time for 30 seconds ?

Hi,

I can take your case and look at it, if you're willing to ship the drive to Portugal.

Regards,
David

I cannot speak for other labs, but my company would charge $100 to assess a drive that was previously opened. The problem is, it is very difficult to determine which problems are the original issues and which problems are those caused by someone opening the drive. I certainly don't recommend powering the drive on any more, if it was opened outside a clean room.

Happy to take a look :-)

There would be a £100 "open drive fee" though. Deductible against final recovery cost.
