Anything related to computer forensics (new section!)
September 13th, 2021, 8:54
HDD model : ST2000LM007-1R8174
FW: EB01
Family : JanusR1 (Rosewood)
I got for recovery. First behaviour was pending/reallocating sectors drive not responding to system.
Applied these steps :
-Unlocked rom (ttl didn't read flash so read/write flash operations done with programmer)
-G list clean i4,,22
-Recalc translator P+G list
Can't reach Defect lists by ATA. Can't read SYS Modules by ata or ttl.
When identifying drive getting roadmap and module 0 error. Tried to upload RAP file from flash to ram didn't write. Where to look ?

recalculating translator was perfectly unneccessary and indeed a bad move, now you have a MC cleared, probably lost some valuable data there.
Without posting original terminal log we can't help much...
My cents are for weak head or torn bands.

I got defect lists by listing from terminal before I apply m0,6,3,,,,,22 and also I have backup all SA modules.
BTW I have reached data but HD3 is looking bad can't get data from it. My main question is still same: how to fix these problems >
Roadmap (RAM) Found.......Error
Detect Module 0 - ErrorAny experience with these errors ? If they are not related to HD3 being bad I will try changing head.

as i said, your problem will be the wiped MC, not the defect lists. It might or might not affect a significant part of the file system, who knows.
If Hd3 is bad, obviously heads need to be swapped at some point.
the errors you get have something to do with SeDiv, which i don't use (never did), i would ask its developer about the problem. Are you sure this family is fully supported by SeDiv?

Why do Russian authors keep referring to "roadmap" when they mean "directory"? A roadmap is a street directory. Is that the reason?

the term was abandoned by Acelab long time ago. But the question was there in me too

I guess the term is confusing to non-native English speakers. "Roadmap" can also refer to a company's development plans for the future, for example.

RoadMap...sounds creative..
Surely MC has gone out for a toss.
Would have been a simple enough case otherwise even if H3 was bad....one could have disabled a few things, may be parsed a few things, head mapped and good to go...
stay away from m0, etc with such drives with MC.
How are you Pepe and Fzabkar my dear friends....hope all is just kickass!
