Compatible donor

Hello everybody,

I need to replace the reading head of a Hitachi model: 0F10383JPT3MA0C0B and I would need your help to find out if the P/N and MLC need to be the same? Or what exactly needs to match to be a donor?

Use the following criteria to find a donor drive.

Model number: Match the model number exactly.
Part number: Match the part number exactly.
Heads map: Match the physical heads (PH) map exactly. It is OK if the donor has more heads than the original drive, but all heads before that should match.
MLC: Match the MLC exactly.
Date of manufacture: Should be within three months — the closer the better.

Thank you very much skinbob. Are there no exeptions in PN and MLC possible? I have seen in some other manufactures models that donordrives recommendation sometimes is a little too narrow.
