It is too bad DeepSpar's Operations server didn't kick off. With their file list, the client was able to select the specific files and folders they wanted recovered and that selection would be pushed to the Disk Imager selected sector map to be imaged.

No, basically, at this point, the drive would have only been powered on long enough to read the file structure and then powered off and/or set aside until they respond with their selection. When you reconnect the project to the imager, you (the tech) would need to import the client selected file sector map and start imaging only the selected sectors. When done, DDI would verify the targeted files and update the file listing showing the good and damaged files for the client to approve the final recovery result.

on damaged structure it would not work, on raids it would not work.
You would have to turn on hdd at least one more time witch it self can be a problem. Ddi it self is limited. Etc etc etc....we made universal solution integrated in job tracking sistem. Recovery engineers can focus on jobs and juniors can do easer jobs like copy and make file list.
We use it for last 12 years....long before it was must have in most of data recovery companies.

I don't question your system, just making an observation. If it weren't such a pain to switch systems, I'd probably consider migrating to your system.

Any chance that you might be interested in selling the file reporting separate to the job manager?
