Head swap wd20earx hdd 2tbanyone have successfull to do this with simple tool and recover data without go thru software pc3000..i got 2 of them dead and i have tge donor but too scare to open it

You are right being too scared to open it, you will make the drives unrecoverable. If the data is important, send them to a professional data recovery company near you. Head swaps may not even be necessary, it could be a PCB issue.

What happens when you spin the drive up?

Please help If I swap a platter of 1 tb hdd to 160 gb hdd can it work because 1 tb have 2 platter and 160 have 1 platter so if I take single platter and put in 160 gb hdd it will work or not
