Thanks to Dmitri for creating this section.

As a starting point, I though I would start by pointing people to the website:

Anyone interested in Flash should checkout Rusolut's website for some well written Documents on various aspects of Flash. Even if you do not own the Visual NAND Reconstructor tool, the doc's are quite helpful in any case. If you currently work with flash, I encourage you to checkout the VNR tool and see if you think it may fit in your tool bag. lots of work is going in to developing the support for different devices, and Rusolut are very approachable and community driven.

The prices on the web site, are these with or without VAT?

Price mentioned VAT exclusive. Tool is made/sold/shipped from Poland (EU), so there's no VAT inside EU as far as I know. However you better to drop us request through webform for detailed information, I'm not good at EU taxation policy.

Companies which sell usually only to other companies quote net (= exclusive VAT).

Its recommendable to give a clear statement about that in any official paper (web-
site) as at least in the EU exist consumer protection laws, defining a given price
has to include all costs - no (hidden) add on may be charged on top of that price
(besides shipping costs if necessary).

Sales to customers outside of EU are allways net.
Sales to customers within the same EU country have to be + VAT on top
of net price.
But
sales to companies of other EU countries remain net as long as the buying
company has an own valid EU VAT tax number, otherwise the VAT % (origin
country) has to be charged + payed.

One has to be very careful to check the buyers EU VAT tax number, as the seller
is responsible to fiscal authorities in his/hers (EU) country. There are at least 2
ways to check the validity of an EU VAT tax number:

1. online (does not include all countries)

2. checking via local fiscal authorities

3. some EU countries have 2 different tax numbers - and buyers sometimes are not
aware, that they just have their countries tax number - but no EU VAT tax number

Warning:
There is NO WAY (for the seller) to avoid this procedure respectively being responsible
to fulfill it according to the fiscal laws in the sellers country.
To avoid any responsablility for the VAT is to sell allways including VAT - the buyer can
then apply at years end for reimbursement of the paid VAT from the sellers country fiscal
authorities.
Reimbursement takes usually 6-12 months. So its better to have all details at hand to
have the seller offering net prices.....
