Thanks Amarbir for pointing the Channel out. I don't understand a word of it, plus I think I am missing some important bits because of it. Most of looks pretty basic (monolith recovery Pr0n) but maybe there is more in the Audio. For example how did the author know where to connect LA, how was it interpreted, what are the gadgets etc.

BTW there is a great in depth review of the LA that appears to be used. Using a small glimpse of the marking of the LA plus a google image search, it looks like this one. The Review video really goes deep and is interesting in many parts.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZ5wKYnCNcs

The author worked on the original UI for Sigrok, and there is an interesting discussion about the DSL people using Sigrok in contravene of the GPL.

I wonder how it will compare to my Saleae Logic Pro 16. I've ordered one to play with anyway. I've tried saving the few grand for a decent LA but just cant put that much into one right now, probably never!

Well,
The idea of seeing his channel is understanding VNR .I requested him to make a few videos in english and he refused .I have that Hantek 5034 LA ,And i also saw Zeroplus has The New Lap-C Pro Series .But the point it that i am not into using LA right now ,Might be once lockdown is over i will see that .I did though make a video on this LA here -> https://youtu.be/C4yTQ29rHMQ

There isn't much actual VNR tutorial but there is still some nice videos. Harder when you don't speak what I assume is Polish.

That's about all the Hantek is good for IMHO, then putting it back in the box and re-selling it to someone that just wants to do low speed stuff. The manual is next to useless, and contains no technical info (how much does performance drop with multiple signals etc)

Did you ever make the video you mentioned using it for monolith pinout discovery?

The Lap-C isn't that new but it is quite expensive. Lap-F's look better but are even more expensive.

Yes it's in polish. I never wanted to rule the World in DR that's why it's not in english. The whole idea of this channel was to answer the big question: why is data recovery so expensive. But it's also quite good advertisement.

Well,
You Missed The Point ,The Once that i am eyeing is LAP-C Pro Not The Lap-C .I Do not understand The Procedure yet but i am sure Hantek will work if only idea Is getting a NAND ID from the Chip itself ,Well i never made the video cos i had no time to learn ,But i am fully geared now and once office starts i will get into it .VNR is on my Hit list These Days in learning .Its a tool that helps you understand NAND More Better Then Pc3K Atleast .

I have a DSLogic U3Pro32 on the way. About time I got to work on the 100 or so monoliths I've been collecting. My Saleae is just not up to the task. I'm looking at buying a support contract for VNR soon, so may post my own videos as well, when I learn how to do the videos!

The smaller ones do, but this one is not listed.

They ported their GUI from Sigrok, but apparently theirs is a little more feature rich anyway, so no big deal if this isn't supported yet.

One thing I will be keen to learn is how to setup your own protocol decoder. I doubt the Samsung one that appears in a few LA's would be suitable for many chips these days... I don't know, not much experience in it yet

Received my DSLogic U3Pro32 yesterday. Thinking of ways to make monolith testing easier and quicker.

Hello HaQue,

Are you happy with it ? I'm a fervent sigrok user, planning to buy one in the next couple hours ;-)
