WD40NDZW-11BCSS0 Clicking, spin down, please help.

Hi,

I got WD40NDZW-11BCSS0 4Tb USB, previously hdd not dropped or any impact on it, just suddenly clicking and spin down.
Unlock ROM and convert PCB to SATA (use native PCB), problem remain.

Open the lid and confirmed the heads in good condition.

Any suggestions ?

Check heads in a working donor drive..
Then you know..

It could be a secondary translator ,Block SA Disable 411 ,Read Mod 190 in ABA Mode ,Report Here

Hi,

digisupport ; I am still looking for donor.

Amarbir[CDR-Labs], as I told that drive spinning and spin down, so I unable to block 411.

Load mod 01 from donor file into RAM
This time SA can be saved(just lucky?).

A little confusing, occasionally access to SA and load SA dir smootly.
But sometimes error to load SA dir and SA.
T2 is no issue as pics?

I guest heads really having problem and need to replace.
