MRT forum again doesn't answer the question.
I posted to their forum titled
DE: DOESNT HONOR FILL
below is my post.
I found that if you clear the FILL option during copying then DE should not overwrite the sectors on the destination.
It doesnt do that. If an error is returned and you get BLACK sectors.
Then DE fills the BLACK sectors with "BAD!".
But what if you started the clone somewhere else ddi for example.
and you could read 90% of head 2, now however head2 has deteriorated.
So you take it to DE to target users files. YouDONT WANT DE overwriting sectors UNLESS its a good read.
I explain all this in the POST.
It IS the TITLE of the POST - the FILL option doesnt honor BADS (It appears to honor timeouts and skips).
So the ANSWER I get back from MRT is explaining how to CLEAR THE FILL OPTION !!!
WTF !?
Do they not read the question? It wasn't even a question - I am telling them its BROKEN.
heres the reply...
No shit - this is what the post is about.... grrrr...
