hi guys, I can not find the right adapter to connect the serial to this HDD, if I try those called seagate do not enter because the holes are too small. How can I connect this disk to MRT? Thank you

I don't believe MRT supplies a terminal adapted for Seagate IDE drives. You will likely need to connect tx/rx via jumper wires. Just don't expect great support for older drives.

Be very careful with the RS232 adapter from MRTLAB, it has given me a lot of problems with some SEAGATE families, for others I have not had any problems.

I show you what I have to communicate by TERMINAL with the seagate and the 2.5 "old IDES.

I can assure you that it works very well, but you have to do a bit of DIY. Also, although it's silly, I pass you by as I have the adapters of the MRTLAB, which lost a lot of time looking for the appropriate one and how to place it.

Greetings.

I realize that mrt has many problems and bugs. After all, you can not always be successful, but it slowly makes its way. I'll see tomorrow to connect with some pins, I also have a TTL serial I'll do some tests with that too. Let's see what happens. Thank you

We once provided our customers with the adaptor specialized for seagate u5 series for a period, somehow u5 series gradually became rare on the market, whereas f3 series was getting more and more popular. So hdd repairing engineers now require more f3 adaptors than u5 ones due to wear and tear of the component. For this reason we add one more f3 in the pack where we correspondingly take out one adaptor used for u5. We did it because samsung adaptor is also compatible with seagate u5 series
