WD10TMVW-11ZSMS4 Drive has 6 head. H3 bad I have tried Head map in DE, All head transfering data properly with no bad sector. But I recognised drive encrypted. Customer said never used password. I could decrypt data. But there is scraching noises when image with decryption. So my question, I am thinking about clone encrypted data to target and decrypt from target drive. Is it posible to decrypt this data from target drive after clone ? My target drive 3.5" WD10EARS |

Ok. Quick solved. I closed H3 in RAM. Now everything ok. I could image 5 Head ( without H3) nice and full speed. |

use decryption by file (encryption module) instead of decryption from SA on runtime. maybe it will help. |

Is it just me, or why wouldn’t you change heads if one head is scratching? I guessing maybe that client is totally unwilling to pay for parts and headswap for better chances of full recovery and would be happy with partial recovery? |

Client accepted all risk and cheaper solution. Imaging full speed no slow or bad sector till now. Its around 65% now. I guess, 5 head would give all data . If she accept head swap at first , I would follow same steps. First image working head and head swap. This is my way. |

If client chose a partial recovery, I would have cut the "scraching" head before any data extraction. I never image working heads before a swap, but that is my way |
