October 15th, 2020, 15:35

Hi, everybody I have a WD30EZRX-00MMMB0 3TB HARCHV2AAB 771698 HDD Dare:29APR2021 without original PCB Board or ROM, that PCB was lost 8 years ago

I bought this Donor PCB: WD30EZRX-00MMMB0 3TB 2061-771698-802 AA HARCHV2AAB from Ebay
I also bought this Firmware: https://www.hddfirmware.com/product/wdc ... 548370zip/

I am using MRT Pro Express

Can someone give me any idea of what steps I must follow in MRT for data recovery?

Thank you so much for your help!

Hello
The first thing you have to get is a 00200037 firmware to load with the controller that you have obtained, or place the firmware ROM that you have downloaded in the controller.
Then you have to load the LDR and see if the heads work.

A greeting.

Hello ivanaire,
why did you buy a piece of firmware from a diskdrive from 2011 when you need some firmware close to 29.april 2012?
Before doing such operations ask guys in different forums if they have this firmware.
Some of them... not all of course...will send you then your closest firmware.
Better to buy whole disk drive close with date and if possible with dcm which is not always the strong criteria ...I mean dcm :D
Because if heads are not working you would have the possibility to change them immediately.
I saw one drive from a guy in Germany which is a very reliable source for approx. USD 90,-.
After having this donor hot swap would be possible and reading out the mods from your drive.
Afterwards ROM Recovery would be a possibility.
Then you could write ROM to your epcb which you bought at first hand.
If all goes well you could image your repaired disk to your donor which you bought before.
Good luck!
