Hi, I solved hdd Busy and Terminal problem by BootCode, write modified ROM and flash firmware to CC492H. Also clear smart, delete deffect, format and rebuild translator.
It is can access in to SA, hdd ready, hdd ID and capacity OK, and F3 terminal works fine but no acces into user data viewer.
I flash again f/w to KC472H but hdd back to busy, but terminal still works and show up :

Rst 0x10M
MC Internal LPC Process
Spin Up
SIM Error 2040
RW Error 00000080

RTL exceeded
MC Internal LPC Process
No HOST FIS-ReadyStatusFlags 2002A1A5

Anybody can help? It may I miss the step.

SIM Error 203F / SIM Error 2040 / SIM Error 2044 / SIM Error 3005 - to be logical damaged or unreadable translator related errors

But if flash f/w CC492H, everything is ok, unless no access into user data area.
The f/w should KC472H, as hdd f/w is KC47.
So, for those error 203F / SIM Error 2040 / SIM Error 2044 / SIM Error 3005, should I format and recalculate/rebuild translator again?

The translator will surely disperse.
Fnd the data will not be read from some place.
You need to save the original translator, recalculate the translator, and then restore it.

I am still keep original sys file 1B, 28, and 35 that related to translator. Let me try to re calculate and re store them.

Post subject:  Re: Seagate Barracuda ST500DM002 f/w KC47 ,BSY, [SOLVED]

Hi,

It is long time post, but need to update as my case is closed [SOLVED].
Below is action taken that would be useful for others, it not so to detail, I removed basic things.
Basically the steps are down grade the f/w, Clear defect, Format and recalculate translator, back to original f/w,
Clear defect, Format and recalculate translator.

1. Any version of MRT it may work, but in my case, I use very old version 2.1.1.3
2. Save original ROM, modified the ROM in "Seagate change auxiliary tools" , use boot Mode tools to save and flash modified ROM.
3. Clear defect, Format and recalculate translator
4. Now drive is ready (terminal overlay), but cap 0.00Gb.
5. Write universal f/w, I down grade version to PHCC492H (ST3500418AS).
(why this model? It is nearest version).
6. Clear defect, Format and recalculate translator.
7. Reload ID/ terminal overlay, drive ready.
8. Write universal f/w, KC472H (ST500DM002).
9. Clear defect, Format and recalculate translator.
10. SATA overlay is works fine, cap is correct 500Gb, user area check OK, Logic scan test OK, then I proceed to DE with no issue.

Hopefully useful for anybody with the same case.
