I have programmer 2.0 and it has troubles unlocking firmware after reading the ROM chip. has anyone faced same issue? tried to contact MRT they said Programmer 3.0 Is required. I was wondering if there is any way that can unlock with 2.0?

Since MRT 2171(new) version to unlock a WD ROM we need the MRT ver 3.0 programmer...The OP does not have that programmer...That's the discussion here. Not the bugs in the software..

BTW. Do you have MRT programmer ver 3.0?

I have super duper Elnec programmers ,So i just remove chip ,Read ,unlock and solder again .

Thanks I will try it. for now MRT said I can send them the files after I remove the chip from the board, read it and sent it to them they will unlock and send it back to me. I will order the programmer eventually.
