I need help locating the test points TV9 and TV10 ona PCB 2060-810035
A WD 4TB hdd stays on BSY, and I need to short it.

Convert to SATA and then you can edit ROM (change zones for instance) and skip the bsy situation |

Thanks for your time. Let me give you some extra information on this case. When connecting the drive, it gets stuck on BSY. No clicking sounds I am using MRT Equalizer. Already extracted ROM, unlock it (with 411 disable), and wrote it back to the ROM chip. But the drive still stuck at BSY. That is why I'm asking for help locating TV9 and TV10 and see if I can force the drive to avoid the BSY state I hope it makes sense |

Here you can see the exposed area under the MCU. The read channel is visible. You can trace the read channel pair to the underside of the PCB. These are indeed the read channel points. However, a spyglass with blocked 411 that stays BSY needs investigation. It should come to DRD state quickly and allow SA access after loader upload. If it doesn't, then probably some mechanical or PCB failure is hiding under the hood. OR, mrt has done it again  I haven't touched TV9+TV10 for maybe 15 years now. |

TV9-10 has nothing to do with sata, consequently nothing to do with mrt equalizer i think |

It allows you to access the read channel. That's what the OP wants, for whatever reason. As for the poor quality photo, that's normal for this place. I do recall another thread with a better photo, though. I think I managed to identify many of the ICs. U7 is a W806-C200 32-bit SoC: https://manuals.plus/asin/B0F38W6GMM Switch SW appears to short the read channel at P6 and P7. |

Ah, ok, now i see this one is for a specific WD pcb, not a generic signal conditioner, which i thought it is... yup, it has pins for shorting the channel indeed. sorry for my confusion

My "reverse engineering" so far ... I still need U11 and U12. I'm guessing that U12 is an open collector/drain logic gate. U11 appears to be a dual channel device that conveys serial Tx/Rx data between U7 and U8.

U12 appears to be a TS5A3167 analogue switch.
