Hello everyone,
I was curious on what you believe to be the best hard drive for storing video recordings from an IP camera (
here is the type of IP camera products I am talking about). I have never thought to ask this question but considering I found this forum, I thought it would be a great idea!

I setup large installations of IP cameras that record to a server that houses many hard drives (5TB+) and each hard drive is raided for redundancy. Is there one type of hard drive that would handle this type of use better than another?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Seagate makes a good A/V series drive but what capacity are you looking for?

I know that we sell lots of WD RE2's into the CCTV market. We have had no warranty returns or problems with them
