PCB Question

January 2nd, 2009, 4:45

Good Day,

I've a couple of question regarding HDD PCB and hopefully gurus here are kind enough to give me some ideas

1. Would it be feasible if we keep our own PCB "warehouse"

2. Is there any company out there who supplying HDD PCB professionally? I mean, at least they have tested mechical/ electronics parts are functioning as it should, and they know exactly what a D.R company looking for.

3. I've seen companies from China selling used HDD in bulk (1000 units/ transaction), are they reliable? any one here had any experienced with supplier over there? mind to share?

Thanks

1. Yes, ideally.

2. I would prefer buying PCBs from known member of HDDguru forum

3. I can not comment. I have not yet made any transactions with them :D

I usually keep a good stock of working drives, and also keep seperate a large collection of PCBs only. I think both are a requirement.

Having a large inventory of PCBs is useful. If you have a good knowledge of Electronics you can always transplant components from Donor PCBs to repair a Client's PCB. It doesn't really matter what Make or Model.
