my hdd is 40 GB maxtor. i bought it in 2005. i cant use xp cause xp says file missing. i think it should be the bad sector. now i have unpartitioned space of 2GB. still i have to install xp after some months/weeks!! i have used hdd regenerator. it fixes the issue temporarily i guess.
no permanent solution?
