{URGENT} WD-1TB HDD Crashing

August 20th, 2010, 11:08

hi....

i bought a WD-1tb(10ears) hdd today. After formatting the partition, i used the WD Align - Powered by Acronis software but then when i rebooted the windows won't restart at all. Deleted the partition by booting with windows xp.

i've again created a partition but this time not used the WD Align software.

NOW, the problem is that when i'm copying data (movies to be exact) from my other hdd to this new partition, the bloody system HANGS. I've tried cut & paste single file but same result!

What should I do? :(

nope, i wasn't installing XP on it, just deleted the partition by using XP because windows wasn't loading. Anyways, it was a problem with the hdd and i replaced it, the new one is working fine.

BUT now am having a VERY SERIOUS problem with my other 640gb drive. I've posted a topic and if you do know about recovering partitions, please do reply in it.
