what type of digital camera to use

can anyone give me any advice on what type of digital camera

i would need for taking good photographs of circuit boards

where we can see the print clear and components

this is for my father who does electronic repairs and is looking for a reasonable priced camera

You need a good Macro or Super Macro setting. I've a Canon PowerShot S51S and it's pretty useful for this stuff...

Same here. Canon Power shot on macro mode or a USB microscope.
