Hard Drive Duplication

March 13th, 2013, 12:29

Hi all. First time poster on this interesting forum. Question is, I am interested in duplicating SATA drives en masse, like 5 to 10 at a time. I'm going to buy a hard drive disk duplicator (A Systor 1:9 duplicator), but was wondering if anyone here had experience with such hardware or if not, if anyone knew of a good forum where such things are discussed. I've been looking around the internet, but reviews of duplicators like this seem to be non-existent, which makes me think either the hardware is just not used that much, or people don't feel the need to comment on something that is clearly used only in an IT shop. Thanks for your inputs!

Does this version support "Fast copy mode"? I.e. copy data only of usual file systems ?
Thats a real time saver if you need to clone bigger drives with only a small area of
data.

I have the 1:11 (different brand, but the original manufacturer is the same) which
includes that feature.

The unit has a risc cpu and is doing quite well. It does slow down the more targets
are inserted. But for the price and features its a fine product.
