Here we go again with a little different approach. From my previous post you get the picture.
I am constantly seeing posts about DR not sharing info. I decided to give my explanation using IT comparison.
1.
IT - simple google search regarding a problem will result in 1000 hits of people
explaining how to fix it.
DR- extensive search on every possible search engine will result in 1000 hits of people
ASKING for a solution for the same problem.
My Opinion - when people search for an IT answer they / someone else / or something (software error) diagnosed the fault and gave an error.
DR - its impossible to give a solution from
"help my hdd doesnt work, it is spinning it must be a firmware. Dont worry i can decrypt 128 bit encryption" . Many people here suggested for the HDD to be sent for diagnoses but the requests were ignored.

IT- Most people ask for simple PC / Workstation / Laptop issues mostly software
DR- Most people ask for a help about very complex job providing very little or no information. Similar answers you will get if you asked " My big international company server does not start. PLEASE HELP me to fix it. But please dont mention AD DNS EMAIL Event log Event Viewer. Just provide me with step by step instruction how to fix it. Oh by the way I DONT HAVE BACK UP"
My Opinion- If you ever have a chance to ask a questions regarding more complex issues for example live servers , and the IT experts can assess that you dont have the skills you will get the same answer " Call a professional "

IT - available information about the software we use. Users test and report error . Free labor plus they pay for the software.
DR - Very rarely you can find info about most things.
My opinion - IT information is available on lower level. Most higher level information the findings are published but not the technical data. Proprietary information is not available at all. DR is pretty much same. I can just imagine if everyone in IT security publishes all the technical info with all the exploits.
Thanks
