Another Data Recovery Review Site

September 6th, 2013, 6:38

They claim it is an 'Independent Review Site' giving the impression that it has no affiliation with any company.

A quick search on Nominet will reveal the answer to who is behind this.

Just look at the companies reviewed, all linked to Data Clinic. This would make you think Data Clinic/Datlabs are scammers or trying to rip people off?

fzabkar, yeh seems so.

It is a bit naughty to suggest it's independent, especially when simple checks reveal otherwise.

Graphics also show logo's from Data-c1inics site as well as duplicate pictures with their copyright notice removed. Not a great deal of care taken, nor a "hide my ID" when registering. Self promo for sure, cynical, probably, scamming maybe a little harsh.

Would love to know who the happy family are outside the balloon decorated shop tho :)

That aside, and more to do with IPDRA comment than fake review sites:

MANDR, as you brought IPDRA (International Professional Data Recovery Association) up would you like to expand a little? I'm missing the "independent" bit there, sorry.

The industry seems to bemoan the fact that their is no formal regulation or recognition of capability yet is critical if someone tries to set this up ?

Of course it's going to be a DR company, who else would be competent to do so?
Volunteers anyone?
MANDR ?
