Hi there,
I have a strange behaviour of a brand new Seagate Firecuda 1TB (model ST1000LX015, FW: SDM1).
I inserted it in a Toshiba C670-17Q laptop, which has BIOS (2010) from American Megatrends Inc.
At the beginning, the hard drive was detected and I could install Windows 10 on it.
Whilst performing the Windows updates, there were some freezes in Windows and I had to shut down the laptop with the power button.
Now, the FireCuda drive is still detected (in good condition) when put in an external enclosure and connected to another computer.
However it has become totally unvisible in the BIOS of the Toshiba laptop, like if the BIOS had blacklisted the drive.
I tried several times and the SATA connector seems tightly inserted.
Other hard drives are dectected without problem.
Did other amongst you experience incompatibilities of the SSHD from the Seagate FireCuda range of products?
