I have the PE image for unlock winmagic securedoc encryption,.That can remove the Bootloader lock and Revert the SSD to normal SSDdragonsreach wrote:can anyone give me some advice please? bought a second hand laptop and it came with an intel 256GB SSD (2.5" form factor). when i first received the laptop, it would boot to a winmagic securedoc page where it wanted login info to boot up. i figured out how to get the winmagic 2mb partition wiped and i can now create and delete partitions. but the SSD still wont take a windows install. fails around 80ish percent. will take linux live images though? have tried tools like intel MAS, Solidigm Storage tools, PartedMagic PSID unlocker, and several other tools. the only one that actually recognizes the drive is Solidigm Storage Tools CLI, but when using that tool, it tells me " Status : The selected drive cannot run this feature. Opal/Pyrite is not activated or is in an unknown state." i have the PSID thats written on the drive.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
