here a good recovery or maybe not

December 13th, 2012, 2:57

so someone sent us this photo of a hard drive they bought in china

they just return back from a tour there

and bought a hard drive from one of these black markets

this is what they got in return for there money

the unit picks up correct 500gb with a hacked firmware windows confirm its 500gb and the make and model of the drive
but when you format the unit it comes up 128mb

they thought it was weird when they tried to load up some movies on the drive
and it stopped half way.
it just kept deleting the file as if it was still transfer it over again and again

this shows not to trust anyone in china

its a Samsung cover like the one above but his was gold colour but had 500gb

you can see the mistake right away in the writing

here another one that someone else has bought

this time no screws just bolts and memory card

watch out for this scam could end up in ebay next

company's have been scammed with this before but in bulk lot
a person nearly lost $20,000 buying a pallet of drives from a company in china
which could had resold on ebay for $30,000

they became suspicious when the person tried to rush the sale quick
and the buyer decided they would check them out
they loaded them up in windows saw the correct information then as soon as they formatted them
they came up 128mb
opened up the cases and every single one was fake.

this shows how we all need to be careful buying anything like this from china
