New ST31500341AS not detected in BIOS - Limit Speed - Jumper

February 20th, 2009, 13:01

Hello!

The Seagate ST31500341AS, 9JU138-302, Firmware CC1H is not detected by the BIOS (VIA VT8237, BIOS Version 4.97).
Is this a bug of the firmware (a SAMSUNG 320GB HDD with 3.0 GBit/s SATA is detected without any problems)?
Is there a jumper setting for the speed limit (1.5GBit/s) available?
I tried already tried without success:

I know that the VT8237 chipset has some limitations.

Any ideas?

Thnx.
