There has been a lot of talk lately about use of tool, big and small and I thought that this could be an opportunity for people to share their views (sensible or not) on certain devices on the market or in production aimed at data recovery.

What do you use?

Or maybe as a group of elite class people we could create something new ourselves.

I have come up with the data recovery hammer!!!!

Not much interest yet but I remain hopeful

As you can see from the attached pic, Acelab are selling a similar idea to my hammer.

They have got a USB on their hammer that links with PC3000. UDMA only though

Wait a minute... NOW I know the purpose of that IDE port on the cockpit of the Caterpillar I bought... Maybe Cat has join ventured with some DR equipment makers ? Also , I think that if I connect the motor pins of a Seagate PCB on my Black & Decker, rising up the +12 volts a little bit (of course cooling the combo IC)....

No need for such high-tech equipment guys........every customer has a "friend" who can fix everything by putting it in the freezer......works 100% of the time. I ofter wonder why we're still in business? Maybe we can co-develop a portable hard drive freezer? Ok, i'm off to buy my yacht with the profits......

A guy cam around my house last night selling platter extraction kits for micro drives and 1.8" drives.

Unfortunatley he only had one left and discounted for me to $1500000000000000000000.99

What a BARGAIN
