Always took HDD Health for granted but since reading a little about how common failures can actually be and having to deal with bad sectors myself atm, I was wondering what the experts here do after formatting a brand new drive? Im really interested to know what steps you take (both physically inside the hdd enclosures and via software* on Windows pc).

Oh and i wasnt sure where to post this. Hope its in correct section.
