I bought five sata harddrives from ebay in which I tested them to work. I haven't used them in a year. They have been sitting in a box for a year. Now, I have tested them again, which they don't work. I tried to connect them via usb and nothing happens. I can hear some of them spin up while one I hear nothing at all. Can a harddrive go bad just by sitting.

Test your connection set up with a known working drive to establish it is not a connection issue.

I input all harddrives in my sata drive which all were seen by the bios and I did HDD Test within the bios and they all passed. I'm not sure why they're not able to connect via usb. :?:
