Anyone have firmware copy for Hitachi hdd. The HDD details is:
Model: 5K500.B-500 HTS545050B9A300

And what do you propose doing with said "firmware"?

1. What tool did you use to diagnose the firmware is bad?
2. What is actual symptom of problem?

I assume you are trying to DIY judging by the vagueness of the request. :-)

im looking for this firmware aswell i have one that when i got it only showed 31.8gb unallocated and thats it wondering if i flash it if it would work or not

I doubt it's a FW issue.

Is it seen as correct capacity in BIOS?

no flash will help you

its more likely one of the headstack has failed

like pc image says if you see the correct capacity in the bios
then something else then firmware issues

To be honest I suspect it's just logical issues.

If it's seen as full model and capacity in BIOS, then I suspect that's the case and is DIY'able.
