This article give an insight into the scale of Flash based tech in future years.

I didn't really notice, but the article list shows a new facility was opened this year in Xi'an with VNAND as focus product.
From what I have seen they are approx. 1 - 2 years ahead of others like Toshiba, Sandisk, Micron.

I have yet to see a datasheet for a chip, or even real specs, so it would be interesting for the first DR shop to get one of these through the door

In 2017 we'll see the mechanical HDD be used for offline storage only. With today's os'es becoming more and more complex, mechanical disks have no place when pitted against the SSD.
