Data recovery professional recommendation

Hi all,

I am looking for recommendations for good data recovery specialist within Australia (ideally). I have already tried and been let down by two (2) companies;
- "Total Data Recall" ; boasted fast turnaround and regular contact/updates, but had me chasing after them with emails, calls and messages for three (3) months before they finally got back to me and basically said "we gotta order parts, might take another month to arrive, but they're having issues scanning the drive, etc" so I asked them to just return it to me.
- "Payam Data Recovery" ; quoted me $2-3k AUD for another (same type) hdd, I took that one back and managed to recover 95% of the data myself with a $100 recovery software.

I am hoping to get it fixed within Australia mainly because I'm worried about postage but I really want the contents recovered (trip videos & photos) because unfortunately the SD cards they were originally transferred from have been formatted multiple times and new data written since then (more info on reddit post).

you can try Elcotronics, http://www.elcotronics.com.au/contact.html Ive sent drives there from SA, never had a problem.

I was goingto recommend Payam as I know they have good labs and techs, I have heard they may be pricey but I cant comment because every job is different, many factors etc..

My daughter car was spitting petrol over the engine. She took it to a mechanic and was quoted $700. I went bought som o-rings on ebay and fixed the issue for $10.50.

was the mechanic trying to rip me off? no, he likely would have done much more than I did and he also has many 10's of thousands of dollars of setup, training, employees etc to pay for. Payams setup is likely 100's of thousands
