 Post subject: Zeroing and defrag on SSD

Hello Friends,

the following is not strictly a DR topic but I think it may fit well this section.

I'd like to set a VM out of an existing Windows on a SSD and run it on Linux. Reading online, one step of the process to make a better image for the VM is to zeroing and defrag the partition. Does it applies to SSDs as well?

Can I clone the partition on a HDD first and then zeroing and defrag?
