Why the name of Rusia is Red Bear Country?

May be it`s in your imagination :) ?

cuz bears can drink a lot and don't get wasted

@Doomer : I thought because if you look at the globe, the image of the country look like a bear....and red because of the Russian flag is red...

I have another question : What does "White Russian" mean ? I have a lot of Chess magazines and books ("64", Shatmatny i SSSR") stating like that many years ago ....

May be people should say USA is "Red Chicken Country" ?
Because USA is world's leader of exporting of chicken and Red because flag has same colors as Russian flag ?
