Sup all

I am having a problem, i have a HDD that was on a DVR, what happen was the guy who was installing a new DVR forgot to backup the old videos and then he used that HDD on the new DVR, the new DVR formatted the drive and then the owner was asking for the old videos, so i am using RStudio to see what i can find i was able to find lots of .MP4 files and i can recover them, the only problem is if i open a video it shows something but then it just gets stuck and it doesn't move, probably corrupt i don't know the files are like 150MB in size.

BTW the HDD is formatted in Linux Ext3

Any help would be great.

Thanks.
